HowTo: Make a Symbolic Link To /bin Directory

How to make a symbolic link to /bin in /nas/users/foo directory?

You need to use the ln comand make links between files. In this example create a a symbolic link to /bin as /nas/users/foo/bin, enter:

cd /nas/users/foo/
ln -s /bin .

OR use a single command as follows:

ln -s /bin /nas/users/foo/bin

To verify your settings type:
$ ls -l
$ ls -ld bin
