How do I set txqueuelen of my network interface card (NIC) under any Linux distro?
The option txqueuelen to ifconfig command or ip command is used to set the length of the transmit queue of the device. It is useful to set this to small values for slower devices with a high latency. To set it for eth0, use the following command:
ifconfig eth0 txqueuelen length
ifconfig eth0 txqueuelen 1000
ip link set eth0 txqueuelen length
ip link set eth0 txqueuelen 10000
Add above command to /etc/rc.local so that settings will get loaded on fly.
